Wild Atlantic Lodge
The transformation of The Wild Atlantic Lodge, a charming 22-bed boutique hotel in Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare, was a stunning collaboration between the hotel owners and Missi Gray Interior Design. Edel’s team fully embraced the hotel’s vision, delivering a complete redesign that spanned the bedrooms, restaurant, bar, reception, and common areas. Drawing inspiration from the rugged landscape of the Burren, the design weaves natural textures, such as wood and stone, with modern furnishings, creating an inviting and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
The hotel’s interior is a harmonious blend of neutral tones, soft textiles, and elegant details that complement the surrounding beauty of the area. Thoughtfully designed lighting highlights unique architectural elements, enhancing the warmth and character of each space. The result is a welcoming environment that balances rustic charm with contemporary comfort, offering guests a tranquil retreat after a day exploring the Wild Atlantic Way.
Guests have consistently expressed admiration for the attention to detail, particularly the carefully curated walking points that guide them through the space. This thoughtful design approach has resulted in a welcoming, calm, and luxurious atmosphere, perfectly embodying the essence of the Burren. The Wild Atlantic Lodge now stands as a stylish and serene sanctuary, where guests can relax, enjoy delicious meals, and unwind in a space that reflects the area’s stunning natural beauty.
